I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
